The festival was created to give companies and performers the opportunity to stage their shows affordably (all participating companies receive a venue by donation while receiving 100% of their box office) while providing audiences with more live theatre, comedy, and entertainment. The Kids Fest welcomes all performing artists and entertainers.

Space in the festival is limited. It is recommended that shows are under 60 minutes. It is essential that productions are kept technically simple. There is very limited space for sets, props, and costumes and you need to be able to set up and strike quickly (about 15 minutes for each). There is also very limited lighting (no board, just a dimmer) and sound (a CD player). There will be a brief dress/tech rehearsal (maximum 75 minutes per show) in the venue. The venue seats around 80 people. Please email completed applications to jdminbc@yahoo.com.
